Objective 1 - Network Infrastructure Design

Attached is a Visio network design that accommodates the following requirements:

-20 users in a Finance Department

-20 users in a Operations Department

-8 users in a Sales Department

-8 users in a Management Department

-200 users in a Call Floor Department

Objective 2 - Network Implementation

Above is a packet tracer configuration of a network implementation based off the following requirements:

-20 Users in the engineering department

-50 users in the manufacturing department

-30 users in the administration department

-Servers required: HTTP server, FTP server, SYSLOG server, and a DNS server

The network is segmented with 4 VLANs based on which section of the network; Server Farm, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Administration. The network uses a /20 subnet.

Objective 3 - Network Systems & Services

Attached is a PowerPoint showing the installation and configuration of different network systems and services across Windows servers. The environment consists of two domain controllers connected through a VPN tunnel, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, WSUS, and NFS. There are also user templates for different types of users, allowing easier creation of new users.

Objective 4 - Network Services Documentation

Attached are Word documents containing configurations for installing and managing Active Directory, Active Directory Objects, WSUS, and SNMP.

Objective 5 - Network Design Writeup

Attached is a Word document containing documentation to design choices when drafting a network diagram to a company's requirements of a network.

Objective 6 - Virtualization & Mobile System Services

Above is a previously shown network diagram. Instead of having multiple servers dedicated to one task, all of the servers would be condensed into one virtual server. The virtual server will have a HTTP service, FTP service, SYSLOG service, a DNS service, and an additional host to gateway VPN service for accessing the company network remotely in a secure fashion. For mobile connectivity, I would place wireless access points throughout the network in each department, add another IP pool, and a VLAN for the wireless access.
